The next days are the usual cacophony of craziness. School, friend drama, more school, gym time, a bank robbery, the daily commute… all the things I tend to juggle can stress me out, make me miss out on some vital sleep. But there are moments that make all of it okay: the excitement that comes from learning new things, the rush of helping those in need, the pride of having helped. The great comfort taken in the laughter of a friend.
If I left all of this behind, I could probably lead a simpler life. But why on Earth would I want to?
